Wednesday Blackfriars class

Wednesday Blackfriars: superb sparring last night and fantastic effort from Carl (turning up to train with a truly broken finger). Tonight: Sword and buckler: bind and tread through, messer; zorn and reverser, longsword; moulinette and grips.

Valhalla we are coming...

Excuse the awful Led Zeppelin quote, however:  On Sunday you can see us stabbing each other  in a controlled and educational manner at the Valhalla festival, we will be displaying messer, longsword and sword/buckler. Come and see the fun.

Tuesday Beckenham class sword and buckler/longsword/messer

No rapier tonight as we are getting ready for the Valhalla show this weekend (see next post). So tonight will be running through the disciplines we are displaying in show and no doubt some sparring.
So, messer from Tahhoffer, Longsword moulinets with some throws, and the first binds against 1st and 2nd in sword and buckler.

NEW CLASSES EAST LONDON

From August the 9th we will have a new class opening at The Arbour in Stepney E1, the class will run from 8-9.30pm covering the main disciplines of sword/buckler, longsword, messer and rapier.
The OLF class is of course still running, but changes to Sunday at 6pm.

Thursday Hither Green class.

Today we are going to look at isolating the anterior oblique sling* in our zorn cuts, generating power from the torso not just the arms with both messer and longsword.
